# Design: It must look slimming!

We started sketching the pattern and cut we wanted, something different from the others (it had to look slimmer).

To be honest, things weren't as we imagined at first. The pants we initially sampled weren't "too many cuts resulting in poor elasticity, too low-waisted, or the wrong cut position making them look too thin." We went back and forth on this part many times. Often, it was only a difference of 1 or 2 centimeters, but the visual effect was very different, and they didn't look slim enough, so we had to scrap them and start over (flips table).

The final pattern was finally finalized, but due to the large number of fabric pieces required for the special cut, the factory foreman raised two points:

1. The large number of fabric pieces would significantly increase costs. (Considering the slimming effect of the design, we agreed.)

2. The large number of fabric pieces would require using a GerberCutter computerized automatic cutting machine to minimize the error rate and provide assurance to the customer, but this would increase costs. (We felt this was very important and readily agreed.)
